Gamedisks Single Sided, ss diskettes with multiple games
Floppy disks with multiple games and a menu to choose from.
In that menu the sometimes necessary tricks to play the games on Sony or Philips and MSX 1 or MSX 2 computers.
There is a trend to make rom files of every game, including very small games and games in msx-basic.
But choosing a game from a menu is a lot of fun.
It was nice to edit a game or loader in msx basic, but that is not possible if a rom file has been made of it.
Sometimes a peek or a poke in a loader can help you to cheat, you can't change rom files.
You can make dsk files from floppies and you can make floppies from dsk files.
You can change the content of dsk files, just like with a floppy disk.
I only want rom files for very large games and if there is not a dsk version.
Dsk files should also start automatically, just like rom files.
Floppy disks should always start automatically too.
With a nice and useful menu if possible.
There are still MSX computers with single sided drives and if a double sided diskette is damaged in the higher sectors it can still be formatted as a single sided disk.
That is why I would like every game in a dsk file of 360 kB, so single sided if possible.
All start up automatically.
You don't have to figure out which game to start with which file, as with some dsk files and diskettes.
